Victor - there's a person in Nebraska that has found a racing pigeon. They probably won't be able to keep it permanently and the only pigeon person they know is a DOG TRAINER! Can you take in the bird, or know anyone who can? The only only Nebraska member I know of is Libis, but she only has ringneck and diamond doves.

Hello, Victor, and thank you for your request for friendship. By all means yes! I have already added you to my list of friends and go ahead and add me to your list. So happy to hear that the rascal Tooter (et al) is doing well. I was just a weepy wretch after reading of the hawk attack but what a wonderful ending! When you were called to the Zoo and told they had Tooter there and you went and they said he died 10 minutes earlier, I literally started banging on my computer desk and yelling "no! no! no! no! My frontroom window faces the North where condos are in pretty close proximity and I just hope my neighbours didn't overhear the commotion and think I went mad (although this could be a pretty close assessment at the time!). I have fallen in love with Tooter as would anyone who reads about him. Does he still go for rides on your shoulder as you ride your bicycle? I imagine no, you don't want him getting into trouble again. What JOY you and your family must have felt when he came home! It would be like living "the ressurection to life!" Keep in touch Victor, and how about an update about Tooter and his pals on Pigeon-Talk? LOL Lindylou P.S. You might like to Google Urban Wildlife Society website and read about Bernie the pigeon rehabbed by David Roth of the Urban Wildlife Society. He was a biter, like Tooter and enjoyed a good wrestle. The story is hilarious, and heartwarming, :)and David is a great writer and fascinating philosopher.

Thank you for reading Tooter Missing in Action! Yes, Tooter is well and so are the rest of our feathered ones and human family members as well. Thank you for asking! There are days when I still tell him, welcome back home Tooter.

Victor: I have just spent the entire morning from 8:00a.m. til l:00p.m. reading the perilous adventures of Tooter. I know this is not a new story and I am a relatively new member to pigeon talk. I was very affected by his story and am so glad it had a happy ending. But now, 3 years later, is he (and you and your family, of course) well? I just HAVE to know!
