I am getting the doves aviary ready for summer. It takes awhile to find everything they need. This is their 1st summer in the new aviary. They have enough room.I am still searching for solar fans.I use dogcrate fans also but they dont put out enough breeze. My doves enjoy the sound of the fans. They perch right up to them and just "chill".Of course the fans are on the outside of the aviary.I bet you are very very busy with all your birds.

I think doing a little bio on adopted Kings and their families for your rescuereport is a good idea....maybe help convince others that Kings do make good pets and are really fun to have around.

hey woman - did i just read this correctly that king pigeons are from 30 to 37 ounces??? that's more than TWICE the size of 'regular' pigeons???? i see that photo you have of the two kids in a bowl, from the back, and there's a huge difference in size! if that's true i'm even MORE in love with them now! we need to get the king caravan of 09 going.....i want a giant white kid to smooch up!!!! any good photos to compare the two?

    Hi again Elizabethy,

It looks like Kimberly has a wedding or funeral release that was too young to find its way back. It looks like it is only a couple months old. It also has some sort of health problem because it won't fly.

Anyway she and her kids are becoming attached to the bird and I guess the bird is doing all it can to help that along. I offered to pick it up and check it over and bring it back for the summer and I gather they are trying to decide to give the bird up or take me up on the offer. Right now I am just waiting to hear from them.

    Hi Elizabethy,
I sent Kimberly (from the western suburbs of Chicago) an e-mail to contact me.
I will let you know. Where is the thread on pigeon talk or did she come up on a different site>
