Thank you all who replied to my message. When I found Ouch last November his legs were totally limp. My vet suspected he had an injury in the lower part of his spine, probably hit by a car or subway. After receiving a cortisone shot Ouch started to move his legs but he's not able to stand on them. He just sits on his belly and he's crawling around using his wings. It seems he's
adapted to this kind of life. Regarding the vet who does acupuncture please don't forget that this is New York City, everything is very expensive. A normal visit to my regular vet is $59 (exotics fee), plus treatment or/and medicine. A regular visit for Ouch is about $100 (if anyone's interested I can send
a copy of all bills, so far around $500). You
might say I'm crazy, but I'm not. I just believe that everything that'a alive on this planet deserves a chance. Please let me know if someone will find other alternatives to cure Ouch. Once again thank you all for your responses.
