The lives of humans and pigeons have been intertwined throughout the ages. In fact, the passion to raise and own pigeons dates back more than 6000 years. History is replete with impressive pigeon credentials and noble lore.  With a review of the facts, one can easily conclude that far and away, the pigeon is our oldest, greatest and dearest feathered friend.

 Today the pigeon hobby is quite diverse.  Raising Show Pigeons, Racers and Performing Pigeons is a big part of this hobby.  Raising or adopting pigeons as personal pets is becoming popular as well.  All paths lead us to an appreciation of the beauty and charm of the pigeon, which somehow enhances our quality of life.

At Pigeon-Life.net we celebrate the pigeon in all its forms.  From the fancy breeds to the feral variety, to the magnificent Passenger Pigeon of yesteryear, you will find enthusiasts here.

 This site is a visual and intellectual tribute to all pigeons—everywhere in the world.

Pigeon-Life.net is divided into 7 areas.  The menu to these items can always be found "in the clouds" at the top of every page (take a look above).

1. The Home Page includes top-line items of interest to pigeon lovers including notices on updates to this site.
   

2. Pigeon-Talk is a community forum for users to converse on pigeon related matters.  The forums is attended by several pigeon experts that offer great advice to the curious and the needy.
   

3. The Gallery is a collection of photo collections.  The Member Pics Gallery is populated with submissions from the Pigeon-Talk members. 
   

4. The Loft is intended to be an exploration in Pigeon variety.  History, Stories, Art, and Photos collections for specific pigeon varieties are featured.
   

5. The Resource Center contains a wealth of information and advice on the pigeons and their care including other recommended website and literature reviews. We've captured the most common Pigeon-Talk forum questions and answers here.
   

6. The Art Collection is a gallery of original art designs created by the founder of this site.
   

7. The Chat page provides links to an external chat service.

Displaying Fonts used on Pigeon-Life.net

Pigeon-Life.net was designed to be viewed using browsers with the Comic Sans MS and Comic Sans Bold fonts installed.  If desired, you can easily download the Comic Sans MS and Comic Sans MS Bold for Windows or Macintosh based computers.  Comic Sans was chosen not only for its novel nature but because it is extremely  readable on screen at small sizes. Verdana and Times Romans fonts are also used but most computers usually have these installed.
