homers not trapping after loft flying

My youngsters have been flying well for some time now, 1hr+ loft flying. When they get done though, they land on the neighbors roof and peck at the gutters and such. I throw the ball in the air and they scatter. Then they land right back on that roof and the process repeats itself. My thought has been to loft fly for an hour or so to burn up some energy and then once they've trapped take them on the road. They would then potentially not dilly dally on the road. Also, I am not feeding them all that much they are usually just a bit hungry. Any advise?
Thanks

I've had the exact same thing, they'll be out for 1hr 30min and won't come in. What I had to was if I was letting them out in the afternoon not feed too late the day before nothing after 15:00hrs then nothing in the morning. It doesnt take long to get them back in check.

^ This!

I used to have (still have) this problem sometimes.

Food is key, the main motivator for them to return.

Good Luck.

Feed less the day before loft flying and road training, like they mentioned feed is the key to control the flock
