Training in opposite direction

Has anyone trained flying from the opposite direction? We race from the south, southwest but I work in the east. It's about a 20 mile toss. I can obviously get more tosses in going the wrong direction and fewer in the right. Is this a bad thing?

You want them to be familiar with all landmarks around their loft, north ,east, west and south. If they know where they are the faster they can get home.

Training in all directions is definitely a good thing especially since the distance isn't a big deal.

You still need to do your training on the line of flight for the races but releasing them from the east for conditioning would be fine.
