Bird Pairings? Also, Indigo?

Hi, I am new to pigeons and am hoping to start a small loft and I would like input on pairing my birds. I recently purchased 6 birds to be my foundation birds for my loft. I don't know anything about their flying abilities, so lets just base our conversation on what would produce good looking birds. So which birds should be paired up? Also, do I have an Indigo bird here? Pictured here are the hens. I will post the cocks in the next posting.

Do you plan on racing them? They are all nice looking birds but I'll bet the first bird in the hens is a cock as reds and silvers that have black flecking on them are usually cocks.

Dave, Thanks for the input. I don’t plan to race them as of now. The guy that I bought the birds from was sure that the first bird was a hen...

beachwood, Thanks for adding to the conversation. I don’t know anything about this stuff obviously! So what color pattern would you say this bird is?

Ok good to know. Are red checks usually this dark, or do I have something else going on?
