Supplementing baby pigeons food

One of my pairs had 2 eggs that hatched. They are 11-12 days old. One of the brids is significantly larger than the other.

can i feed it with hand mix to catch up? Or let nature take its course

Hi, a serious pigeon racer would get rid of the smaller bird it will probably never be a good racer. on the other hand you can let nature take it's course, the way to avoid this problem is when the hen has the 1st egg take the egg away put it in your house in a kitchen cabnet put it on a piece of cotton dont let it get to cold when the hen has the 2nd egg put the 1st one back this way they both will hatch on the same day. You can give the baby additional feedings inbetween the mom's feedings. He is probably not getting enough food having to compete with the older one. If you see the crop is not full, feed him and put him back in the nest until he is much stronger.

Feed him one time extra for 2 nights and he’s catching up. I will give both the extra feeding
