My Pair keep breaking the Eggs HELP!!!!!!!!!

My hen has laid eggs 3 times in the last 2 months and every time she breaks the eggs or I find them outside the nest. Her and the male sit on the for 2-3 days and then they are broken. I have a nesting bowl and some bedding but, I am beginning to wonder if I need different bedding for the nest? I have read that pine needles work good but I am not near any Pine Trees. We have only had pigeons for a couple months and really want to get some babies. please help all that you can

How old is the pair?

What kind of set-up do they have as far as nest box and nesting bowls go?

I have never had any issues with any birds breaking eggs due to nesting material, or lack of it. Are the egg shells thin?

You probably should give the hen a break and let her build up her calcium reserves, constant laying of eggs is not good for her, it can cause problems for her, as well as a calcium deficiency. Perhaps they need some time out from each other.
