baby blackbird help/advice needed

Hello. My friend brought me a baby blackbird yesterday as she couldnt find its nest. I am feeding it mealworms soaked in warm/hot water (never give cold). Also this morning I fed
it boiled egg. It seems just fine but im worried that its not that active for its age? Any help or advice appreciated. By the way the bird is feathered except for the stubby tail and it still has a yellow beak. It gapes but its not that active. How long do i have to wait until i
feed it again?

feed him canned dog or cat food, just put some on the end of a chop stick and poke it in (not too far) his open mouth and he should swallow it repeat till he seems not as anixous to eat and then stop. you can also soak dog or cat kibble in some warm water and feed that but if falls apart easy so the canned is a bit easier to feed.

he is probably around 8 to 10 days old, they fledge at about 13 to 15 days of age, but still follow the parent around and beg for food, but they are soon flying. I would stay away from the worms as they can harbor some parasites..but that may be over cautiouse on my part.

Spiritwings if youre talking about the mealworms then they are dried ones soaked in water. I am not even trying earthworms coz i heard they were toxic for chicks. Thanks.for the age estimate
