European bee eater

Hello,

3 weeks ago I got an European bee eater (Meropis apiaster) in for recovery. It is an adult bird. It had torn air sacks with air filling under the skin and torn tail feathers. Fast forward 3 weeks the birds i great, eats great, all recovered but no sign of any tail feather regrowing. I checked and double checked, there is no residue of any feathers in the skin, they were plucked out clean. The follicles are visible for the biggest tail feathers and they look nice, dry, not inflamed or infected. I am a bit worried now. Is it too early to expect something or is it overdue?
Btw I am feeding with mealworms and I give supplements (vitamins, microelements and calcium) regularly.

Thank you.
Best wishes
