Rufous-bellied thrush not digesting food

Hello again!

I found a rufous-bellied thrush last friday. I wasn't able to catch it then, but my dad saw it again yesterday and he managed to catch it.

It's fully feathered young thrush. His leg looked like broken so I took him to the vet, he said he just didn't have any muscle tone so that was the reason he couldn't stand on it. He said he suffered from several deficiencies in his feeding so he just needed a good nutrition. He gave me vitamins, adviced me on how to emulate the omnivorous diet (baby food and cat food or meat, the standard) and gave me an antibiotic just in case.

Well, I found out why he was emaciated. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow but I'd like some insight now, if possible. He isn't digesting the food properly. Feces are really similar to his food, there are some traces of "normal" feces but most of it looks just like the mix I'm feeding him.

Any ideas? What could be the reason the digestive sistem is not working properly?

He's with a heat source so that is not the problem.
