treat a chickadee/sparrow (i cant tell)
just found the bird today, and i assume it was injured because it didn't fly away from me, only hopped. i picked it up, went home, and transferred it to a large empty fish tank with a towel floor. i gave it a shallow dish of water and some parakeet seeds and included 2 sticks so it could walk somewhat above ground.
anyways, i cant tell if it has broken wings or a broken tail, but i can check more thoroughly tomorrow morning. its tail does have the farthest feather on the left (if facing in same direction as bird is facing) to be slightly askew to the left, but i'm not sure if that means anything.
when i picked it up for transfer to the tank, it went from fluffy to skinny and pooped in my hand. it was probably scared and pooped diarrhea, but the poop was light yellow-white and lightly viscous.
i do not know the age of the bird, but it seems to be in the "teens". anyone know what might be wrong? thanks!
