What do you call this kind of latch?





The ones on the baskets like these where the door flaps down. You have to twist it horizontally to open, and vertically to lock. We are rebuilding some of our crates and need replacements for the latches. Ours are old and rusty and are hard to turn.

Are you talking about bolt and barrel latches?
The ones with the bolt that you have to slide across and then knock down to latch in.

Let them soak in WD40 & clean moving parts with some very fine emery paper

Thank you Do you know any stores that sell them? I tried to find them on Lowes website but only found the plastic ones like you'd see on the back of a picture frame. I'm looking for those 3 piece ones. It sucks having to ship them.

Maybe try a hobby shop? I think theyre also used on handmade leather purses.

Check canvas shops and or a boat supply.
