Lungworms

Have anybody dealt with this kind of worms? I picked around two weeks ago a pigeon with bad feathers that at home started to "sneeze" while literally spitting pieces of his lungs. I gave him Rombendazol, a drug based on albendazole and Invermectin and suddenly calmed down. But all the time since then he was breathing with a strong gurgling sound, like some liquid was in his lung.

This night he started spitting his lungs out again. I gave him Rombendazol again and wait to see what's happen.

A sick bird will need comfort (including water and food) in first stance: a box that will protect from drafts, warmth superior to the room temperature, a cloth arranged as a nestle.

Is possible that most of rescued birds are killed by medication overdoses or by too many medicines given by rescuers, not by diseases themselves.

Birds (especially the sick ones) must be handled gently as fear can actually kill her (stress in birds triggers the release of a deadly hormone in organism).
