Want to confirm this is canker.

Had 3 birds with danker. Been giving spantrix and today is the 3rd day. I was told to do 3 day only but i still see the canker. It’s only got slightly better after 2 doses.

Should i stop or what?

Looks like canker. Rather get Meditrich by Medpet, a very good product to treat canker. For an adult pigeon, 50 mg once daily for 8-10 days. Sometimes longer.

If you stop treatment, the canker will eventually kill them.

Using the pantrix. It has been 5 days today, it has gotten better but still there.

Do i stop once it’s all gone? How long for those things to leave the mouth

I'm not familiar with the meds you are using. I've only used Meditrich in the past for birds with canker. Can't you get human metronidazole from a pharmacy? Dosage will also be 50 mg once daily. Sometimes it takes a while for a bird to be cured. If you stop too soon, the canker will return and be more difficult to get rid off. Sometimes you need to combine 2 meds. Rather try the metro, safe and easy to use.

rondizole is what I use for canker. that is a bad case of canker in the picture , and will need to be treated longer than usual. most visible canker will dry up and fall off when dead. but be aware there might be more canker in the crop, that you can not see. rondizole usually kills the canker in four days, but with such extensive involvement you should treat for seven days to be safe. roni is also a very safe drug to give, and can be purchased on ebay. you should isolate the sick birds, and treat the whole flock with roni in the water. it is a stressfull time for our molting birds so give them any help you can- better food, baths, rest, etc.
watch for birds that will not come down to the feed right away, they are probably sick.

On top of the pantrix i have a 4-1 that has roni. Got slightly better but that’s been 7 days. The pantrix has been 5.

Ordered medpet to try another med

The 4-in-1 is also no good. It has not got enough of a specific med to treat whatever disease a sick bird has.

Hi, do you have Betadine 10% (povidone iodine) on hand? If so, you could dip a q-tip in it then gently apply it topically on the canker and around all his mouth (like if you were "painting" it). You can do that twice a day (in add to giving him the meds). The q-tip must be not too dry or too impregnated/soaked.

I learned that method from my vet (not all vets agree with this method, about me I always do it). Povidone iodine is used even in case of trichomonal infection in human.

If you don't have Betadine, you could apply (same method) lemon juice.
