Grit

OK good - I do have it in another bowl.

He's funny - I tried to switch out his perch with a more natural branch, and he would have nothing to do with it. His 1 x 2 board is back and he's perching again.

I live in S.St.Paul. Houles is kinda well known for pigeon supplies, closest place for someone who lives in St.Paul! I have recently got food from a guy who delivers into the cities. You are very cool for taking care of that pigeon, you won't believe what a good friend he will become!

Greetings.
Depending on how Rocket is fairing... I have Enrofloxyn (a liquid antibiotic). Pidgey advised me on getting this and its helped my 'found' ferals along the road to better health. So, if one of those wonderful pigeon-health-educated people advise this for Rocket I live in Minneapolis and would be happy to share.
This antibiotic and other wonderful vitamins etc. can be ordered through www.VitaKingProducts.com #1.877.848.5464
Also, when I've brought the sick guys inside they tend to be fairly quiet and don't appear to move around all that much...

Good work with rescuing Rocket! I live in South St. Paul. Roxy and I met here too. Pigeons are just the best pets! I think Rocky will be a very rewarding addition to your family. You know, you can always get your birdy some PG Wear and let him explore the house-while the kitties are locked up. That would be an excellent way for him to get some exercise.

Here's the link to the PG Wear:

And here's my Pudge:

LOL. Thanks. He's actually better at being held, but his mate Hoppy is more interested in humans. Hoppy is curious and has a great personality. She dive bombs my head when I come to feed them. I just swat at her, but when people come to visit it scares them.

Ohhh! Pudge is so cute!
I'll post another pic of Rocket soon - he is looking really good these days.

His cage is in a bathroom - so one day I left his cage door open and closed the bathroom door - and he never left the cage!

Also, I have not handled him much - he is pretty afraid of that - but do you think I should?

Thanks!

I wouldn't handle him, but I would start taming him.

Check out this link:

Read the last part of the first post. That should be a good place to start.

Thank you! I will get some unsalted spanish peanuts tomorrow and we'll see what happens. Also good to know on the 'don't stare straight at them' thing. Never would have thought of that.

Maybe we could all meet at Petsmart or something. That'd be fun.

Mom-Check out my newest addition!
