Had to convert...lol...Canadians...geesh! Ok so 1 quart = 4 cups. No problem. I can do that. He's moving around now and looks brighter after his sleep. I'm hoping he was just exhausted from being out there alone vs. sick. Gee what would we do without the internet now a days!!! Thanks!

I would do this if the bird survives the night...cut the band off with needle nose pliers and take the bird here....
I doubt they will accept it if it is banded.

Debbie,
If you haven't already done so, it is very important that the bird is warmed some by supplemental heat before giving anything by mouth.

Please read the following and follow the steps.

I've had the bird at home for about 6 or more hours. Looks much better than it did. Looks stable to me. I can hear it eating as I type.

Thanks for the info! Sad that they wouldn't take it banded...what's the diff?! Either way...I will do that. I'm not sure where they are as it looks like Downtown Toronto. Anything in the Durham Region? (Pickering, Whitby, Ajax) Ontario?

NO....not a thing. It's very difficult to find resources in Canada.

Do you have a vet that you take you birds to?
If so, perhaps you can give them a call first thing in the morning and see they would check out your rescue or maybe know of someone to refer you to.

Do you have the bird in a room away from family and animal traffic and on a heating pad (set on low)?
