Well, I have Dove food. Calcium and med size red grit. and water.

I guess the goal is to put on weight and help with conditioning. And anything that would assist immunity health would be good as well.

You could add a few of the oil seeds to help put on weight and help with her moult. Oil seeds are, rape--safflower--sunflower--flax--hemp

Well we know piggy boy JP likes safflower, Grandma gave him tons when he was there, might account for why he is so puffed up LOL

oh oh, not so good news this morning. Latte is not doing well after all. When I uncovered them, her head was wobbling around and her pupils are dialated and she walks around like she's off balance. I have not seen Joe P be aggressive with her at all. I picked her up and held her and she just closed her eyes. (there is a heat pad in the cage) I am wondering if she suffered a head injury and it just caught up to her. or it's that one disease mentioned on here. She ate great lastnight and seemed alert, the only thing that was different was that she didn't fly around, just walked around on the floor. But no head shaking until this morning.

Any suggestions?

Are these birds together?
Just wondering as you mentioned you haven't seen Joe P being agressive with her.

If they aren't separated, I would suggest doing so immediately.

Hutchison........So very, very sorry to hear about poor little Latte. You did everything you could for her and we all thought she was out of the woods. I think her original injuries were more extensive than anybody imagined.

Thank you for all you did for her, and please take comfort in the fact that this little bird knew in it's last days that it was loved and cared for.

Comforting hugs to you....

Regards,
Louise

Oh, I am sooo sorry to hear that she died. Sometimes that happens. It is never easy. They are so easy to fall in love with. You did your best. Sometimes we can't save them, but you tried. that's all you could have done. Thank you for trying so hard.

OH no...........I'm so sorry. You had her for 11 days or so? I guess we all thought that she was out of the woods IF anything was wrong to begin with. Gosh,,,,,,,,don't know what to say really. Just so sorry.

I am so sorry Latte passed away. You did so great with him. He might have had a stroke, can happen in birds too.

Oh Hutchison I am too so very, very sorry to hear that Latte passed on... you provided such comfort and love and I am sure she was grateful. No matter how short their time is with us it's so very difficult to loose them. Bless you for the love you provided. She sure had the best chance possible being with you.
