I just got into pigeons and finished my loft, hoping to try racing next year. My question is what is the difference between a nest and widowhood box? Is it just the front on them or am I missing something? I know this is probably a stupid question to some of you more experienced guys but I cant...

All: What type of perches do you like, and why are they appropriate for certain situations? I'm looking at a loft space of approximately 6'x8' to hold perhaps 20 birds. These birds will be flyers. No breeders, I'll have a different area for breeding pairs. I assume box perches prevent some of...

OK, here they are in their new nest box with a terracotta nest bowl. What else do I need to add to it? Edit to add: They aren't much into nest building. I even put a few hay straws in the bowl and they just throw them on the floor and stand there looking at my like I'M the stupid one.

Hey guys, do you know if it's possible to train rollers to always come back to a 3 by 4 foot kit box no matter where it is located. So like, if I brought them to another place in the kit box and then let them go, would they come back to the box. I was thinking if kept the box in their loft and...

I have been posting a bit about the ferals who have taken up residence in my building and the one next door. A pair nested for a couple of years on a first-floor fire escape over the driveway my building shares with the building next door. This fire escape is directly outside the window of a...

Got a shipping box the other day and when we unwrapped it and put it together this morning, I noticed something new on the box. At least new since the last time I ordered a new box. There's a statement on the bottom front side where the label goes that says the box can not weigh more than 8...
