  1. Wild or 'Feral' Pigeons
Hello everyone, My question is: if I feed a feral pigeon/dove for several months everyday, but then I have to leave for 10 days, will they die because of it? Mine is an extreme case: I’m specifically referring to an albino ringneck dove that - I strongly suppose - was raised by someone in...

I am a new pigeon keeper at a private zoo and am interested in learning what is the best to feed both homing pigeons and fantails. Right now they are both eating a 1:1:1 ratio of layer pellets, pigeon checkers, and scratch grains. They do not have any grit available. Is this a good mix or should...

Hello, after reading some posts' suggestions, I bought chicken 16% protein crumble for my ferals. There was also crumble for growing chicks so I got that for the squabs. When I got home I realized the chick feed was medicated for coccidia. Can I use this medicated feed for anything?

A week ago we found a very young pigeon in the grass near a tree. (she was around a week and a half I think, see photo) She had obviously fallen out of her nest and one of her parents were torn to shreds on the ground (cat or fox?) She had been completely abandoned so we took her home. She was a...

Okay, so Adrian and Jayden had eggs and they hatched and they've seemed fine... but I had to clean their cage out --it was getting really poopy-- and so had to put their babies back in the nest so I could take out the grate. I've heard/read that human contact with babies can lead to parents to...
