Hi all ;
I've been wanting a small loft since I was very young and real life and then kids always prevented it. Now I am at a point where I can do it and I think I am going to try. I am having some difficulty getting good information and that brought me here. I am looking for reference...

Pigeon Loft Plan
I was going to start out with about four pairs of racers. I was going to have two different compartments. Where I can have my hens on one said and my cocks on the other side when Im not breeding them. How big does each side needs to be to keep two pairs in each side when i do start breeding them?
hello--
I am brand new to raising homers (for fun) and am trying to figure out the best way to convert a horse stall into a decent loft. It's a 12 by 12 stall with a window on one end (to which I have added a sputnik trap) and dutch doors front and back.
Right now all the birds are in the...
I thought I'd share this story with folks here and maybe get some feedback on what I could do differently with my loft or flight training.
This Wednesday I had 6 young birds ready for their first flight out of the loft so having only fed them in the morning, I opened the aviary and let them...
Hi All,
just decided to design and build a pigeon loft in our place and I found a perfect position for it, which it was a shadowy area below some trees and a perfect spot for keeping my pigeons and maybe 2 hens in its ground level for having some fresh eggs :p the only problem was 10 degree...
I'm designing a small loft for 8-12 pigeons. During my research I've seen many designs and features that I'd like to incorporate. One feature I have not seen but have considered is lining the loft interior with Fiber Reinforced Plastic to make cleaning easier. Has anyone done or heard of this...
I used to see only small cage for each pair but I have a very spacious cage for my modena pair it ll be around 4 ft ×2ft× 4ft. Will a spacious cage affects breeding,. And I have my best bowl filled with sand. Is that OK? Thanku
Sorry for the rubbish title - I couldn't think what to put there.
I was browsing Google Images for small pigeon loft ideas, and I came across this:
Pigeon Trap Melbourne
Is it ok to have the "open" area underneath the enclosed nesting area like that? Would pigeons be happy to drop down to...
Does anyone have some know how on getting a loft to be mobile? I was thinking some wheelbarrow wheels to get it into a moving truck. Moving plans won't start manifesting for about three years, but I'm scratching my head on how to move my 500lb 8x4x5 loft without having to hire an army to move it.
I have recently noted that the RedRose website has gone down. Also, a lot of people are in need of the design for the starter loft. I did alittle digging around and I got the original website page for it. HAVE A GREAT TIME BUILDING YOUR LOFT:D:D...
I just finished building my loft its a 8x12 I split it in two sections which are 6x8. The aviary's are built off the front and are separated with different traps. I'm wanting to know if there is any systems I could race and raise young out of my style loft. Or do I need to build another...
Hello, I have a fantail pigeon that I rescued who I keep in a small cage in my room. Everyone tells me I need to get him a pigeon buddy and keep them outside. I would love some advice on where or how to buy/build/order a small loft for 2 pigeons. I do not want to breed or race or anything like...
Hello All:
I'm in the planning stages of building my first loft. I keep reading here to go as big as allowed and affordable. This what I came up with. I would be very interested in your thoughts to this layout or if you would recommend a different layout? I am constrained to 144 sq. feet by town...
I'm building a new flight pen and have a dirt floor with wood shavings. It's raised like a raised garden bed, so it shouldn't have a moisture problem. Anyone else do this and have problems or is it fine as long as its kept clean?
Hi all,
I have a wildbird sanctuary and also rescue unwanted pigeons. I have quite an assortment of homers, fantails, rollers and other fancy breeds. I'm in desperate need to make better accommodations for them. What I'd like to do is eventually fly some birds for educational demonstration...
