    We just had a blizzard in New York, and the feral pigeon that normally hangs out on my balcony just laid her first egg during the storm. There is no nest, and the egg is basically sitting on snow in a wooden box with top covered but side open. Hen is next to the egg but not sitting on it yet...

    Not sure if anyone else saw my my post from yesterday, but basically, I found a Mourning Dove who was cold and weak, but eating and I brought him inside.     HI, So, I am looking at a group of mourning doves that hang out around my apartment building in NYC and as I see them trying to find footholds in the snow, I'm scared they will tumble into a snow drift and not be able to get out! Is this a rational concern?!
