does any any one have any info on african black eagles ??? I have some pigeons that are 1/4 black eagle 1/4 van reets 1/2 vanloon and they are flying good and strong .... my friend he put 4 pigeons in four diffrent races and all came in strong 2,4,6,9 drop not bad!!!

sounds like a good strain of Black eagles. My flying partner from the late 70's early 80's flew black eagles. i beat him most of the time, BUT, i have heard they are tough fliers, and good for racing under rough conditions.(like S. Africa)
I am sure there are family differences in ea. family thou. Dave

Today I met the former Editor-In-Chief of American Pigeon News, Dick Williamson, who dedicated an issue (Vol. 111, No. 1, January 1995) to Black Eagles and wrote an article on them.
He told me that he only new of one pure bloodline of black eagles in the United States.
I now can proudly say I have some of that bloodline.

I just picked them up yesterday.
I plan on breeding some pure ones and maybe crossing some with some very nice indigo Janssens I have to hopefully produce some very nice racing andalusians.
