I have been driving truck for 35 years now, and today I witnessed something which was amazing. I was on Interstate 5 just north of the LA region, headed southbound. There, flying about 6-8 feet above the highway was a flock of about 10 racers. I was going almost the identical speed, (55), and got to watch them fly for about 3 miles. It was absolutely stunning. They were so close as they darted occassionaly, that I thought they might hit one of the cars. They were only about 100 feet in front of me. All I can say is WOW!!!!
It is amazing how much you see pigeons when you become interested in them and have them as pets. I'm always fascinated by the feral ones, wondering if they are really happy or would they rather have us taking care of them. Something we will never know. Thanks for sharing your story. min
