ok so he is about 4 weeks old, maybe day or two more
anyway im still force feeding him, and also givin his seeds and other stuff which he eats but not enough , so i pitch in with the formula 2 times a day
now my question is , as far as water, when are they supposed to start drinkin water on their own.
He has been getting liquid thry his formula.
i offered him water but every time i do that he just wants to take a bath
if i put a glass with water in front of him he wanna take a bath.
today i seen him take a sip but that was all.
mostly reason why im still force feeding him is cause i dont want him to dehydrate
what am i doing wrong?
any suggestion.
how to i wean him completely

If you saw him take a sip of water then he knows how to drink, and you mentioned he is eating seeds too. As long as you supplement his feeding with formula he won't eat or drink too much on his own. You have to wean him slowly off the formula. Try to give him the formula only in the evening and see how much he is eating throughout the day. When you think it is enough then you can stop hand feeding him.

Since picking up seeds takes more practice, they need to start learning how to pick up seeds before they are ready to drink all their own water. By making the transition gradual, you support them as they learn.
