Although I raised pigeons for years as a kid and teen, I've never banded any of my birds.
Now that my Chinese owls have eggs and my Doo's are nesting I want to be able to band my YB's.

::::::::Insert Every question about banding here::::::::::
When?
Where do I get them?
What kind is best?

Any and all advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Randy

When
- Anywhere between the 5th and 8th day. If it falls off the first time, keep putting it back on. Eventually it will stay put. I like to start at 5 days just to make sure, as some of my birds grow big fast. Others don't, but I like to be careful.

Where to get them
- For Chinese Owls, you'll want to get NPA bands from Foy's Pigeon Supplies
http://foyspigeonsupplies.com Select 2009 year bands from the menu.

What kind
- On there it should say which size of NPA bands are for Chinese Owls and/or other breeds you plan on banding :)
