Basic Medications

Im going to order medications from foy's because I have no supplies stores around me.

My question is what kinds of medication do I need and do you have the names of what I should get?

They sell begginer kits but they are like 100 and something dollars, and when I was searching the site they have a bunch of four in ones and all in one stuff, I think it would come out cheaper if I just order the basic ones I should have on hand. And I would buy more supspeific ones for the problems later.

Like for canker, worms, and other basic ones.
What ones should I get, they have so many options on the site I am confused.

Thanks for your help! :)

O and which fake eggs are better wood or plastic?
The plastic ones are what I use and my birds don't know the difference.
For just the basics, I wouldn't go with the "kits" either. There's some stuff in there that's just not worth what you pay for it, IMO.......;)

For:

Canker:.........Ronidazole
Coccidiosis....Sulmet (but you SHOULD be able to find that in a feed store that sells Chicken stuff. Sulmet is used for chickens.)
Worms........I personally use Ivermectin Injectable (no, you don't ACTUALLY inject it), but it's pretty expensive initially......that also can be purchased at most feed stores. A bottle will last forever plus some, so although it's quite a bit of money now, you wouldn't have to buy it again for a long long time.
I also use Levamisole which I believe also can be purchased at feed stores. It's actually a pig wormer.

Now, having told you all this, you should plan at some time in the future, to get a second medication that deals with these illnesses. It's good to rotate meds so that the birds don't become immune to them. At least, that's what I've always been told and it's something that I do.
And the eggs......I have plastic and wooden. The birds don't know or care. Just give them something white and round.......LOL

Just my two cents....but I would research some "programs" rather then just simply buying some of this and that. If you do everything else right, but mess up with the drugs, you can undo all the work you put into the birds.

I would read some of the articles by Dr. Walker : http://www.auspigeonco.com.au/ if you follow his program you can purchase some of his items from Siegel Pigeon Supply :
http://www.siegelpigeons.com/index.html

His products are a little on the pricy side, but they are effective, and if used as he suggests, you will do just fine.
