I have ducks chickens and pigeons and was wondering what is the best grit to buy that would be good for all of them ?
Past few years i been using a bag of pigeon grit but its gonna be empty soon i wonder what is the best out there?
I would just ask your feed store for some poultry grit, it should be a grit for all poultry, crushed granite is what it is. I would still give oystershell for calcium, and pigeons benefit from the mineral pick pots, the ones that are red in color they have trace minerals they need in those. I would just use the red grit for pigeons for everyone to make it easier, and then give the pigeons the pick pots just for them. mine go made over the pick pots. as far as the oystershell goes, that is all my chickens get as they are let out to pick, some members don't even give oystershell to the pigeons and do fine, but I give it anyway for the calcium. but you can chose your own management and see how it goes.
