Bird songs anyone?

I'm guessing this thread is going to sink to the bottom faster than a lead balloon, and please don't think I'm a nut-case, but I take my guitar out on the porch all the time and play it for the pigeons. Believe it or not, they really enjoy this, and there are some songs they like more than others. For example, I play this silly little song called Song Of The Shrimp, and Peter loves it! I'm sure he has no idea it's about shrimp, but he must enjoy the melody or something. Anyway, it got me to thinking.... does anyone know any bird songs? Or do any of you who have indoor birds know that they like/dislike music? I know there was a bird on YouTube awhile back (Snowball) who became quite famous for dancing to the Backstreet Boys.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!! ...and may just take a radio out to my guys this summer!!! In fact, I'll play a sooting CD for them in the Aviary while I have the Shop Vac blasting inside!!

We haven't tried it with the birds yet, but the dogs LOVE the bagpipe playing (not taped....real highland bagpipes - right here in the house!!!) They howl right along with the pipes (if it was really "screaming" - - I don't expect they'd stick around but they do!!!). Of course, the cats seem to think that someone is torturing a cat somewhere and they have NO intention of being next:D:eek:

i do the same!im a big stooges fan,and play "raw power" on guitar and on my bass guitar too as mood takes me,the pigeons dont mind too much,i always have music on,,they seem to like motown for some reason,they also like a kiddys programme called"the night garden"which is for 0-5 year olds with lots of sounds and colurs,,they look thru window at the tv(its widescreen so im sure they can see it ok)a off teh wall group called the"vivian girls experience"have brought out a "pigeon "ep,with songs like "madeline,the classic blue bar","pigeons in the park"etcthey are playing at national pigeon day in NYC in june
