Hi - it's been so long since I joined I changed email and now I had to join as a new member, but you all were very helpful when I first inherited my dead brothers pigeon, Aldo, who never learned to feed himself. Well I've been hand putting seed down his throat for at least 5 years now and he has been doing really well, looking happy and healthy - except when I fed him today I noticed something. His nostril cere has always been a nice snowy white, but today one side seems to be a tan color, rather as if one side had been dipped in tea, while the other side is still very white. Is this a problem I should worry about?

That can be a sign of respiratory infection. Some other subtle signs are swelling around the choana, thick mucousy saliva, red or watery eyes.
