I know some people use garlic seeds to treat parasites. I don't have garlic seed but I have tons of garlic powder. can use the powder instead? If yes, how should I give it to my birds?

Hi Vova,
Sure you can. I use garlic powder too! Mine is a mixture of Brewer's Yeast and Garlic powder. You coat the seeds with wheat germ oil, and sprinkle the powder over the seeds and mix it up.

If you put it into the water, it will smell garlicky and there is a small chance the bird will avoid drinking it completely.

Powders are safe, provided it's designed for birds. Good luck!

Yes, powder is much easier to use than steeping cloves in the water. I just add some oil to the feed, enough to lightly coat it, then mix in the powder. Make sure it is garlic powder, not garlic salt.
