Don't know about chilly peper but I know it can cause micro damage to the digestive tract. I prefer garlic. It is given during 6 days in water first thing in the morning. On day 4-6 bird will expel dead parasites. Most gentle dewormer I ever used, and it also boosts immunity. I only use that now. You can look on Youtube for Dacian Busecan who provides many useful recipes. I tried all of the except eucalyptus and they really work wonders. I even managed to get rid of nasty E.coli infection with oregano and save a sick feral pigeon for who antibiotics were not working good.
