The tempature is starting to drop overnight,this morning it was 30 deg.
Should I close up the vents in the loft? How cold is cold? Any info would be great. thanks..

Do not completely close up your loft. Pigeions can easily handle very cold as long as they are dry and can get out of the wind, but to maintian a healthy loft make sure you have fresh air.

newday is absolutely right. the birds can handle cold but not draft. I'm in Canada an hour north of edmonton alberta and it can get below minus 40. the birds do well but I must admit I do put some heat in the lofts just to take the sting out of the cold when its that cold.

Semi-close the vents only. Pigeons can handle snow, but draft is not good for them because draft can part their wings and they can't keep warm.
