I raised Morning Glory, a white winged dove, here in San Salvador, from fledgling stage. Morning Glory is bonded to me, flies strongly but has one crippled foot. She is fine walking, but limps and stumbles.
I may need to relocate to the USA, so I thought that it would be a good idea for Morning Glory to have a companion dove (ringneck) in case I need to move.
She is quite socialized to people and does well with my friends who animal sit.

So I am concerned about complications by introducing a new dove into the situation. They may not get along. I will probably need to train the new dove. I have no idea how it will turn out. So right now, I feel it is safer just to allow her to adjust to a new person rather than complicating things with a new dove.

Any comments on this? Any input would be helpful.
By the way, Morning Glory has almost daily sun therapy for 20-40 minutes, closely watched.
