I'm not sure when, maybe 2 days ago my fantail laid an egg. I only noticed it today, but I think it's been there for a day or two.
I already ordered the fake eggs from ebay, hoping it will get here by monday.
Should I leave the eggs till the fake ones arrive or better to throw it out?
thanks

If you don't want more birds, and you just take the eggs, without replacing them with fake, then the hen will just lay right away again. So you take them again and toss them. So she will lay again right away. If you keep doing this, she will eventually deplete herself of calcium, and have all kinds of problems, like egg binding and other things. So by replacing the eggs with fake eggs, you are giving her eggs to sit for the 18 days or so, until they figure they aren't going to hatch, then they start all over again. So it gives her a break from laying over and over.
