My ringneck dove just laid her first egg. Her poop is watery, will that go away? She has grit for calcium, is there anything else I should give her?

The watery dropping could be from excitement. Keep an eye on it but but don't worry right now let things settle down. The egg laying is stessful for the bird.

the hen's dropping do change before and after laying, esp if she is sitting the egg, she will have to be lifted off the nest to do her business as they hold in while sitting and there will be more volume as well. it is always a good idea to have a fecal sample done at your vet if you feel something is amiss. the cuttlebone is a good calcium, but make sure she knows how to consume it, usually that is given to hookbills that can break it down with their beak, you may have to crush it, most give a hi-cal grit found at the pet store for small birds.
