I have had some pet pigeons for a couple of months now and I had some questions about egg laying. I have bedding and nesting places for the pigeons and one of the females layed two eggs within the past few days. For some reason whenever we checked on them she wasn't laying on them. She was near to them, but not on them. I decided to remove the eggs because I guessed because of the cold weather here they wouldn't be alive anyway. My question was....

Is there something I can do to help them stay on the eggs so I can get some hatchlings?
