I am so lucky because just outside my front door and window a pair of collared doves made their nest. However, over the past two weeks there has been much sitting and feeding. This evening I have been waiting for their return but they have not come back (4 hours). Does their feeding behaviour change - the 'fledglings' look too small to flee the nest (I can see them from my upstairs window). I could see beaks and eyes as they reached up to receive food.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Pee

The older the babies are, the longer the parents will leave them alone. As long as one or both parents are coming in and out to feed, then everything should be ok.
