hello everyone im a young fancier looking to race next season so here is my plan my loft can hold about 36 pigeons maxium but i will start with 20-30 birds depending on what i get so say i loose 6 loft flying =24 then loose some more on training -5=19 then loose say 5 more racing and another 2 from other casues thats 12 birds left am i thinking postive or negative and please tell me anything you can about racing any tips are welcomed even if its not relavant and tell me your plan or team number for next year or will i make a even smaller team thanks :cool::)

If you want a number like 36 I wouldn't start with more than 6-12. And get good ones who have flown not papered ones. Also you will not loose as many as you figured if you do a lot of small tosses at first and wait until they loft fly a couple of weeks. Being impatient looses birds. Once your birds sort themselves out and start laying you will have many more very soon 3 pair can give you 18 young in just a few months.
