There is an injured pigeon that's living on the stairwell that leads to my apartment. I believe that one of its wings is broken. This is a pretty tough bird as he sleeps on my stairwell at night, but hops down the stairs and searches for food during the day. He's unable to fly, but can hop around well. My fear is that a cat/dog may eventually attack. Other than the wing, the bird seems healthy as it has been doing this for nearly 3 weeks now.

I was unable to find anyone in the Las Vegas area using the resources on this site. Does anyone know of someone that I can call to help this bird?

I did, however, I do not see any rescuers listed for my area. There are clinics that I can take the bird to, but they require that I care for the bird. I have 2 dogs, so unfortunately I am unable to take the bird in.

Bring the poor bird inside, if you haven't.

You can at least take the bird to Dr Hawk for evaluation.The evaluation would be free. If you put the pigeon in a small animal carrier, that would keep the bird safe form your other animals.
I'm wondering if the pigeon is a young one that is unable to fly yet.
