We've had a large brown and white pigeon "visiting" for the past five days. He has a blue band on his left leg, but I haven't gotten close enough to read what it says. The bird doesn't seem to be in any distress and occasionally walks around with some other birds. I have never seen a brown and white pigeon before and was surprised to find another post for a found brown and white right here in Suffolk County. Not sure if these two birds are somehow connected.

Please catch the bird. It is domestic and will not survive long outside by itself. Once you catch the bird keep it contained.

You will find a sticky thread in this same forum on various ways to catch a bird.

Give us the numbers and letters on the bands and we can help find the owner.

Thank you.

Hi if you can read the letters we can always locate the owner . If the band is blue and the letters on the birds band says MSC then it belongs to a member of the Mid Island Flight Club. If you need it caught let me know. I am the VP of the club and live in Commack. you can reach me at [email protected][/B]
