I found a pigeon at work today with a very seriously broken wing. It's wing is essentially hanging on by a thread

I haven't been able to find any place near me that can help. What should I do?

I have him in a dark box right now, with a towel. I'm afraid to give him water as he is shivering and looks to be in shock of sorts.

Can anyone recommend a place on Long Island that can help him? I've tried following some links on here about splinting his wing but they are dead.

Please keep the bird from further moving that wing around.

I think if it is hanging by a thread it will need to be seen by an avian vet and may need to be amputated.

Keep him warm and give him water. Hes probably in shock and pain, youll need a vet, poor guy, hope you get him some help. Thanks for picking him up.
