I think that now adays you have to be a little paranoid about some random person coming to your house. Look atthe craigslist killer/underwear saver. I think he was just seeing if anyone could vouch that the person is legit and wont stab him with a spoon.

Thats a good point, did'nt think of that....that pic is cracking me up though!
What kind of pigeons are you looking for? I have several who are rescues that are up for adoption to the right person. They must be kept "prisoners" though as many of them came from unknown places or are disabled in some way. If you're interested, I could always bring you some, and I'm definitely not a spoon killer off CL.

Yes, I have mostly ferals, some fancies and Kings mixed in here and there and some mutts.
