My birds are at the age to breed now, I would like to get one pair to breed now, would I be better of putting them in a closed nest box to get them going? Thanks in advance!

Its not necessary to put the pair in a closed nest box unless you want them to occupy a particular box different from what they keep now, I mean if they are already paired.

If you are looking to pair the two birds then yes it helps putting them in a closed nest box but keep an eye as some cocks may injure the hen.
