Hi,

I live in Phoenix, AZ (SR51 & SR101) area and I have been nursing wild pigeon for 3 weeks now. Her wing is injured and I was hoping to find a place for that may be able to rehab her. Can anyone help?

I called the Adobe Mountian place and left a message.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks
Devin

-Devin...here's the list of all vets and rehabbers I have accumulated for the state of Arizona. Three weeks is a long time to go without an assessment of the wing and if the bird can't fly, it may be too late to st the wing if the wing is indeed broken.. Can the bird fly? If not there is a possibilty that most vets or rehabbers will put the bird down. If you don't want that to happen, so ask lots of questions befor you leave the bird anywhere. Some illnesses can keep a bird grounded as well.

Hi Devin,
You might want to start with Jody, from Charis' list.

I have taken a few birds to her and she's great! :)

As Charis has suggeted, whoever you speak with, be sure to ask what the disposition will be if the bird is unable to be released. Many of us have adopted rescued, non-releasable pigeons. They make wonderful pets. :)

Please do keep us posted.
