Hi Joe and welcome to Pigeon-Talk. I'm going to move your post to the General Forum as I think it needs to be there for now. We do have members that have white "dove" release businesses, and I'm sure they will be along to advise you and help you get started. There are some professional dove release organizations you can join that would also be very helpful to you. Where are you located?

This book might help you: White Pigeons - The Color of Money :http://www.siegelpigeons.com/catalog-general.html
google "white doves 101"i belive they do white dove release business courses and all the supplies you need to start up your release business
there is a lot of work involved you have to treat them tahe same as racing pigeons they still got to do the work and get back home safly.i do wedding releases and other occasions, but i have had racing pigeons all my life so the white dove releases just fitted in.best thing to do is get a book on racing pigeons for yhe beginner witch will have a diagame of the loft you should have, the feeding cleaning and training and health care, and go from there, i think the only way to learn is by reading thats the best way to go.you can buy these books on ebay

mark is right, usually folks already love pigeons and have some, so they know what is all involved in keeping them and the release for cerimonies just comes as a secondary thing they can do.....best to do alot of home work first, and you really do need to love pigeons, they need care 7days a week, weekends and holidays. (frozen water and scrapping poo on Christmas day).. even if you do not have a release gig, you should want to have and keep pigeons, even if you get out of releasing them for folks.
the extra money you MAY make on some releases is just icing on the cake.;)
HI Joe, Welcome to Pigeon Talk!

You have been given excellent advice...

One other thing, CHECK with your town or city to make sure you can HAVE pigeons! Find out the rules and regulations!

Better safe than sorry to go to all the work of building a loft, getting birds and then find out you can't have them!!

All the BEST!

Shi :)

Well Joe here's my 2 cent on the subject.
I would'nt buy books, I think eveything you need to know is right here on Pigeon Talk. You can go to the raceing section and learn about training and such and you can go to the loft section and see plenty of loft designs. Anything you can't find a answer to just ask and some one will help you. Where are you located?
Good luck on your new adventure.
