I have a budgie hen that was acting sick a few days ago. After returning her into the breeing cage she layed a soft shell egg. That was 2 days ago, so she is overdue for her 2nd. Today Ive noticed she is the same way, when I picked her up I noticed she is eggbound. Is there anything I can do about this? Some quick advice would be great as Im sure she is very uncomfortable and I would like her to have some relief. Thank you.

I don't know about budgies, but with pigeons, a moist room, like a bathroom after a shower helps, even a warm bath-if she wants to take one. Make sure she is getting a source of calcium and vita D3. I will also administer a drop of olive oil down the throat-no more then a drop-but that is for a pigeon.

A heating pad can also help, but going to an avian vet is always a first recommendation in such a situation.

along with trees advice, let her have have a nice bowl of warm water, hopefully she will use it.
also you can rub a small amount of olive oil around her vent.
if it doesn't pass soon, emergency vet, asap
