Hi we're new to pigeons and we need help sexing the young one's that have hatched out.We have Fantails,Indian Fantails and Komorner Tumblers.We would apreciate any help.Thanks

well it may be hard to even try, but some feel the vent bones, the cock birds should be closer together than the hens. but really there is no 100% way, the cock birds will start to show off around 4 to 6 months old, so you may beable to tell who is male then, they start to pair off at this time also. so you will have to wait and see. unless you want to spend 20 bucks per bird and have the blood tested, which only breeders of fancy pigeons may do from time to time.

One of my "cock" birds lay egg today :D otherwise all other marks and signs and behavior still screams this is the cock! Rather wait and see how it goes after 6~7 months.:)

Yep, the best way to tell the difference is to wait. At 6months- 1 yrs, if they lay its a girl, and if they don't its a boy.

It work 100% of the time...
