My young pigeons doesn't want to go inside their cage. They always go to the roof or go down to the ground. What will I do to make them go inside their cage?
I tried to put some food but still they didn't go. Please HELP
cut down on the amount you feed them . and always let them out hungry. also teach them to trap with a feed call . the way you teach a feed call is EVERY time you feed them you make the same sound . weather it be shaking a can with something in it or whistle .sooner or later they will come back when you give the feed call
again it depends on the birds.
first you have to let them rout. (rout is when they fly away from the loft and stay out for a while like 20 min or longer.) than you start road training them you take them 1 mile away release them from there 3 times than go out to 3 miles than 5 , 10 and so on .just take your time . you can read more post about training homers in the Training and Behavior area in pigeon talk
